Public Access

Before sharing via link, you must enable public access for the credential.

Enabling Public Access

  1. In the credential details, locate Public Access
  2. Toggle the switch to enable
  3. Confirm the action

"Allow anyone with the link to view this credential"

When enabling, you'll see a confirmation:

"Cannot change public access while offline"

  2. Tap Share Link
  3. Choose how to share:
    • Copy the link to clipboard
    • Share via system share sheet

The link can be shared via messaging apps, email, or any other method.

"To share a link, you need to enable public access first. This will make your credential viewable by anyone with the link."

QR Code

A QR code is automatically generated for credentials with public access enabled:

Others can scan this QR code with their Credentium Wallet app to verify your credential.

Troubleshooting

Cannot Enable Public Access

  • Ensure you have an internet connection
  • Try refreshing the credential by pulling down on the details screen

  • Verify public access is enabled
  • Check your internet connection
  • The credential must be valid (not expired or revoked)

PDF/JSON-LD Sharing Failed

  • Check internet connection
  • Try again after a few moments
  • If the problem persists, contact support@credentium.com

Public Access Toggle Error

"Failed to update public access. Please try again."

This may occur due to network issues. Try:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Wait a moment and try again
  3. Restart the app if necessary

Privacy Considerations

When you enable public access:

  • Anyone with the link can view your credential
  • The credential page shows your name, issuer, and credential details
  • You can disable public access at any time to revoke link sharing

Disabling public access:

  1. Toggle Public Access off
  2. Previously shared links will no longer work
  3. Existing QR codes will become invalid
